Want to Limit Herpes Breakouts?
Learn how supplements can help
reduce the number and severity of
breakouts.
|
 |
A positive
diagnosis of herpes simplex is devastating.
Sufferers are
often frightened about the sexual and social repercussions of having HSV, and
many feel as if there is no one they can talk to about the condition. Some are
even wary of visiting their physician because of extreme embarrassment.
It is certain
- managing this condition is difficult. Patients must not only develop
personal coping strategies for emotional instability, they must also address
factors that influence their physical well being; including education, diet, and
physical activity. Additionally, there is no cure-all for HSV, and despite
repetitive attempts at conventional treatments, many sufferers will still suffer
from the ill-effects of this condition.
We at
Progressive Health understand that the transition from self-doubt to personal
acceptance is a slow and difficult process.
Herdox has
been created to support this transformation by providing you with a tool that
makes your condition only a minor and occasional aggravation. As well, this
formula manages your condition in the privacy and security of your own home.
Herdox is your natural means for effective and long-term HSV suppression.
WHAT
Supplements Can Help?
The following
publications have reported how supplements (like the supplements included in our
Herdox Formula) help with limiting the
length and severity of outbreaks:

Propolis
- A resin made by bees, propolis is loaded with flavonoids
(antioxidants that help fight infection and boost immune
function). |
|
Test tube
studies show it can stop HSV-1 and HSV-2 from reproducing.
One small study of people with genital herpes compared an
ointment made from propolis to Zovirax ointment. People
using propolis saw the lesions heal faster than those using
topical Zovirax. More studies are needed to say for sure
whether propolis works. [Full

WHEN
Will I Notice
Symptoms?
Herpes & Its Causes
There are actually several
different strains of the Herpes Simples Virus. However, of
these, only two are known to cause genital herpes:
-
Herpes Simplex Virus
type I, or HSV-1
-
Herpes Simplex Virus
type II, or HSV-2.
The others strains are
responsible for other popular contagious viral illnesses,
including chicken pox, mononucleosis, and shingles.
Both viruses can cause
genital herpes, though HSV-2 is responsible for
approximately 90% of all diagnosed cases. HSV-1 is commonly
known as the virus that causes cold sores and fever blisters
around your mouth; although it can spread to the genital
region via direct contact.
HSV-2 is a highly contagious sexually transmitted disease.
Its primary method of entry
into the body is by sexual contact (i.e. skin to skin
contact or contact with mucous membranes). Any individual
engaging in masturbation, kissing, or any other close oral,
genital, or anal contact (including intercourse) that allows
for the transfer of body fluids is at greatest risk.
Signs & Symptoms of Herpes
There are several signs and
symptoms associated with each type of herpes simplex virus,
and the appearances of each can vary from individual to
individual as well.
-
HSV-1: This class of
the herpes virus may manifest as cold sores (a.k.a.
facial herpes, labial herpes, and orofacial herpes) or
with no symptoms at all.
Most people will contract HSV-1 during childhood, and
nearly 70% of those infected will not exhibit any
symptoms.
Conversely, if symptoms do occur, the primary infection
will likely be accompanied by flu-like symptoms;
including sore throat, sore mouth, and potential
blisters on the lips, tongue, and inside the mouth.
Approximately 2/5 of people infected with HSV-1 will
have recurrent cold sores.
-
HSV-2: There are a
range of symptoms associated with HSV-2 infection. The
most classic presentation is genital herpes. Genital
herpes manifests in a variety of forms and these
manifestations are divided into two separate categories:
Typical and Classic. Patients are included into one of
the two categories on the basis of symptom severity.
In typical HSV-2,
patients usually encounter the least severe of all HSV-2
symptoms.
Itching, burning, redness,
and soreness resulting from inflammation in or around the
genital region is common. However because the ulcers
associated with typical HSV-2 are usually very small and
often occur in inconspicuous locales, they are not
recognized as genital herpes (approximately 60% of cases).
Other non-classic, typical
symptoms can include:
-
Genitourinary itching, burning, or
soreness with or without pain
General fever, myalgia, and malaise
-
Dysuria and back pain
-
Genital discharge
-
Proctitis and rectal discharge
-
Vulvar, penile, and anal fissures
-
Internal lesions
-
Perianal lesions
-
Nonspecific vulvar erythema
-
Genitourinary pain without other
symptoms
-
Redness on buttocks/thighs
-
Aching lower limbs
Classic HSV-2 is the manifestation that most of us
are familiar with. It is also the onset of HSV that sexually
active individuals fear.
Classic’s most common
symptom is extremely painful blisters that ulcerate and
crust. These blisters and ulcerations occur in both mucosal
and non-mucosal regions, and do eventually heal. However,
this healing process can take as long as a month.
In addition, during the
primary outbreak, or episode, symptoms are usually the most
severe as lesions can continue to form well into the 10th
day.
Recurrent episodes are
common in HSV-2 sufferers. These episodes are the least
severe of all classic manifestations. 60% of patients will
not develop lesions and the onset of symptoms to complete
healing is usually no more than 1 week. Other classic HSV-2
symptoms can include:
-
Fever
-
Dysuria
-
Inguinal lymphadenopathy
-
Headache
-
Myalgias
-
Aseptic meningitis
-
Vaginal or urethral discharge
-
Itching
-
Cervicitis (in about 80% of women)

HOW
Do Treatments Help?
Conventional Treatments:
There is no known cure for
genital herpes. Oral prescription anti-viral medications
can be used to help heal sores or lesions sooner and may
reduce the number of outbreaks a person will have.
However, the efficiency of
such medications has been continually questioned.
These anti-viral medicines
simply do not work for everyone and patients are seemingly
more apt to complain of the side effects associated with the
administration of such medicinals, rather than praise their
potential benefits.
Alternative Treatment - Herdox:
Studies
indicate that nutrition may provide the greatest tool for
immediate symptom relief and long-term remission of
HSV-1 and HSV-2. Progressive Health has taken years of
clinical research and developed the most effective,
multi-faceted HSV supplement to date.
Based around
the anti-herpes nutrient L-lysine, Herdox’s ingredients
provide for significant improvements in immunological
functioning.
Additionally,
when taken in conjunction with specific lifestyle changes,
Herdox’s scientifically proven ingredients also provide for
significant anti-viral activity within the body; perhaps
with the efficacy of popular prescription medications.
Here are some
of the ingredients included in the Herdox formula:
|
|
Zinc sulphate
Reduces both the
number of episodes and the time to recovery of
herpes labialis. |
|
|
L-lysine
Classically known
as an anti-herpes nutrient, patients suffering from
this infection are well aware of the impact of
lysine supplementation. |
|
Lysine is an effective preventative therapy, as well
as a treatment option.
A clinical trial of
an ointment containing lysine, zinc and botanicals
revealed full resolution of symptoms in 40% of
patients with oral herpes by the third day of
treatment and 87% by the sixth day. |
|
|
Lemon Balm Powder
Melissa officinalis
is widely known in Germany for its potent anti-viral
activity and is recommended for many infections,
including influenza and herpes. |
|
This herb contains
numerous components that inhibit replication of
HSV-1 and HSV-2 (16, 17). Many topical preparations
contain lemon balm which is an effective treatment
for recurring herpes labialis and can reduce
frequency of subsequent outbreaks (18). |
|
|
Bee
Propolis
Propolis is a
naturally occurring product derived from beehives
which contains a large flavonoid component. It
displays anti-HSV-1 activity both in vitro and in
vivo.
|
|
Propolis may
prevent the virus from adhering to host cells and
also prevent replication of the virus.
In a multi-center study, a
preparation of propolis demonstrated superior
activity over both acyclovir and placebo ointments
in healing genital herpetic lesions, and in reducing
local symptoms. |
Herdox is guaranteed to:
- Lessen the number of outbreaks you
have
- Decrease severity of outbreaks when
they do occur
- Speed healing time when blisters and
lesions, or other side effects are present.

| "I
had heard about sexually transmitted diseases in high
school, but as the old saying goes 'I never thought it would
happen to me.'
After being in college for
six weeks, I got herpes from a circumstance I will regret my
entire life. I still haven't accepted it and this is why I
want to suppress it as much as possible.
Along with my prescription
medication, I am taking your product. I have only had one
breakout since taking Herdox. The breakout was shorter and
wasn't as bad as pervious breakouts. I will continue taking
this product if I keep seeing these results. Thanks for
everything."
